Week 11 Story: Man and Buffalo

There was man whose name was James and he had a barn which is where one buffalo lived.  He loved him more than anything and would not give him to anyone even if they ask for more money.  

James did not lived for money but he lives for his buffalo so that he can stay happy and the only thing he was able to do for him is feed and keep him safe from the rest of the world.  When he was kid, he used to go to his dad's friend house where he saw how they treated the buffalo and that is why he do not want his precious buffalo to get hurt.  One day the monkey came and started harassing the buffalo and James went to barn to check on his precious buffalo.  James can understand just from looking at his buffalo's face that he was in trouble but did not know why.  He kept going to barn if there is something that is making him not happy but still he could not find the problem.

After that he kept doing the same thing for over a month.  One day he just stayed there and finally able to see what is troubling his buffalo.  It was monkey who was troubling him but his buffalo was nice and did not want to hurt the monkey.  He has more patient than any other animal that James has ever seen and he was really happy but at the same time sad.  He wanted to help his buffalo so that monkey would get away from his precious buffalo.  He started praying that if there is any other way where he can get rid of monkey.  A fairy appeared and asked him question why did you not shot the monkey with the gun you had.  James answer that if I had kill that monkey, my buffalo would be really sad because if he wants to kill he could have done that long time ago.  My buffalo did not do that so I did not want to do that too.  After hearing that answer the fairy made sure that they both stay happily ever after and nobody can harass James or his buffalo.

Author Note: I did not made many changes to the story but added a man name James who take care of his buffalo.  Some more detail which made him like his buffalo.  The story is mostly similar with little changes.

Week 11 Reading Notes: The Golden Feathers

I read the story it was really sad how the father was treated.

The story of golden feather was really interesting where a father went out on journey to find treasure so his family can buy things.  They were poor and could not buy anything and every person has a dream of earning more money so his family stay happy.  This is what made this man to look for treasure so his family can get what other family can get easily.  While he is traveling through jungle at night a fairy came to him and ask him what is traveling for.  I am pretty sure that fairy wanted to hear a different answer than what he said.  The man said he is looking for treasure with not enough reason and that fairy made him a goose with golden feather.  From the point of fairy, he probably thinking that this man is just greedy for money so turning him golden goose so he will feel the pain of been too greedy.

After the man saw himself being a golden goose he went fly to his house.  He told them that I will come every once in a while and give you my golden feather so you can buy what every you want.  His family was happy that’s what he thought but who knew there is something bad things waiting for him.  While he was away his wife made a plan to capture the him and taken all of his golden feather and they were successful in it.  But once all the feather was taken the new feather was white and his wife let him go.  Now he understood that being greedy is really bad and after that he went to forest where all the rest of birds live.  He lived there happily ever after.

Week 11 Reading Notes: The Patient Buffalo

The Story of a Patient Buffalo who was really did not care what other being did to him.

One day the buffalo was tired and he laid down underneath a tree so he can get away from sun for a while.  A monkey who was on that tree think of doing something naughty while the buffalo was taking a nap.  Monkey are very mischievous being who only like to have fun and nothing else beside that.  He started jumping on the back of the buffalo but the he did not mind and let him do as he please.  The buffalo thought it is just a butterfly because the weight of the monkey is not that much for buffalo.  This made the monkey to be more arrogant and started doing so many mischievous things.  The buffalo is still patient and never said anything to monkey and let him do as he please.

The buffalo was strong and had two horns which can pierce monkey and might kill him.  Looking at all this mischievous done by monkey to a buffalo.  A fairy came and told him why are you letting him do all of this stuff to you.  You have legs that can crush the rock and power that make lion stay away from you and horns which can take down the tree.  I feel like the fairy was looking for answer or trying to provoke him so that he can use his power to kill that monkey.  The buffalo was patient and he understand what he wants and what he does not.  Buffalo answered the fairy that he is monkey and he was born to do the mischievous things.  What would I get killing that little monkey and it was true there is nothing you can get by killing someone.  He said that monkey has little brain and do not understand much.  After hearing that answer fairy was happy and he cast a spell that will not let anyone suffer that buffalo again.  After that he stayed happily ever after.
