Reading Week 14: The Elephant Girly-Face

There was an elephant who really nice to people and he was really good looking and he also had nice face.  He would never hurt anyone and nobody would hurt him that's how gentle he was.  It was like in his life he has nothing to do but stay happy and be gentle to everyone.  One day where girly-face elephant sleeps at night, the group of robbers came and start talking about robbery and what they should do to the people if they wake like kill them and do not spare single people if they wake up and that is their duty as a robber.

The elephant thought that they were trying to teach him that you cannot be nice to people and you should kill them and not spare anyone.  He was listening to other people talking, he woke up while they were talking and heard everything.  Animals are not as educated as humans are so they will believe whatever they hear and do whatever they want.  The morning when guard came to check on girly-face elephant he picks the guard up and threw him on the ground.  That killed the guard instantly and other guards came to check and see what is going on.

Everyone started staying away from girly-face elephant and now they think he looks ugly and that’s it was.  The girly-face elephant did not care and the only thing he wanted was to kill people and to solve that issue King send his wise man who knew girly-face since long time.  He started investigating that anyone seen bad people talking about something near girly-face and the guard said, “Yes.” He immediately understood what happen and why? He went to king and told him to send good people and tell them to talk about not to kill people.  After that the group of people came and start talking why you should not kill people and girly-face understood that and he lived happily ever after.

Reading Week 14: The Monkey and the Crocodile

There was a monkey living by the water and the crocodile living with his family.

One day the mother of crocodile wanted to eat monkey’s heart so she tells her son to get the heart of a monkey who is living by the swamp.  Monkey are like humans but not as intelligent as human and they can use that brain to survive and that is what this monkey did.  The crocodile did not know what to do and he thought really hard how to called that monkey.  Then he got an idea by using food to call the monkey down.  Monkey was stupid enough but not stupid enough to be able to survive. 

The crocodile calls the monkey and said, “there is that amazing fruit on the island on the other side of water.”  The said, “I don’t know how to swim”. Crocodile said, “Don’t worry I will take you there.” Monkey quickly jumped down and ride the crocodile’s back but as soon as they got little bit further away from land the crocodile took him under water but the monkey did not let him go.  Crocodile said, “My mother wants to eat your heart.”  But the monkey quickly thought to tell him that he left his heart on the tree.  It was obvious that crocodile is trying to kill the monkey but he was smart enough that to tell him that he left his heart on the tree.  Crocodile was stupid enough to believe that he left his heart on the tree.  I was happy that nothing happens to the monkey and then monkey moved far away from that crocodile.  The crocodile didn’t give up he kept looking for monkey but he was not as intelligent as monkey and that is why he was never able to catch the monkey.

Reading Week 14: The King's White Elephant

The White Elephant who only knew to help and play with his playmate has to leave them.

Carpenter who goes to forest to cut down the trees so that they make lumber out of it and sell them.  That is the only source of money they had to feed their family and taking care of their family.  One day an elephant came with injured foot and the one who help him was the carpenter who were working in the forest. That was so nice thing to do by those carpenter and I was really happy that they help the elephant.

Elephant knew who had a big body and they pull so many things at once and heavy.  The elephant was nice and he wanted to help them because they help him when his foot was injured.  It was like how someone helps you and you want to return something to them you help them as.  It shows that the characteristic of element is nice and he is the type of elephant that would not leave without the things done half way.  The elephant started helping them by caring and pulling trees and woods and the carpenter also feed the elephant day and night.

The elephant had a son and that was the white elephant since he was getting old.  He went to his son and told him what happen and who help him.  The young white elephant was also nice and understanding and so he went to the forest the place of his father to pull the trees and help carpenter.  It is like a family thing that you have a good heart and help the people who help your family member.  But one day the King came and gave so much money to carpenter and take the white elephant away.  Now he couldn’t play with his playmates either that so sad.
