There was a fish and
elephant. An elephant came to the lake
he was really in good mood. He was thirsty
so he started drinking water from the lake.
In that lake there was fishes who stayed and by accident the fish was
sucked up by the elephant. The other
friend of fish was trying to fight that elephant and tell him to give their
friend back. The elephant understood
that something big went inside his nose and he let the water go in the lake
again. He saw that there was a fish who
was sucked up him and after that he apologized.
Fish really like him because he was not the type of elephant that they
think he was. After that the fish and
elephant became really good friends and he would not let any harm come to those
fish staying in the lake. They did not
know that they will able to live like this for their whole life.
After some time, the human started
coming to lake and started fishing.
Elephant try to make them leave from the lake but his effort was not
making difference. Elephant also tried
talking with fishes to run away whenever they see someone came to do fishing or
hide so they would not get caught. After
listening to the elephant the fishes were hiding from the people who came to
lake. But the human start using the cool
type of fish fly which will help them caught the fishes and it went exactly how
they planned. Elephant heard that many
of his fish friends were taken away and he started observing what were the
humans doing. After learning their technique,
he went to the lake to warn his fish friends.
The elephant told them to not go after the cool things that are new in
the water because human uses them to catch you guys. The fish listen to the elephant and stopped
going after them.
After that the fisher man did not
caught any fishes and then they stopped coming to the lake. The fishes and the elephant lived happily ever
after.
Author Note:
I combined the two story. From both story I kept the similar concept
but what I changed was the elephant helped fish this time instead of
human. The lake was filled up but made
like the human came to hunt fish in their lake.
I did not want the elephant to die so made that changes in this story.

ReplyDeleteI just finished up reading your week 12 story "The Elephant and the Fishes". I do not think I have come across someone who has combined two stories within their story. This made the read interesting as I did not already know what the ending would be. Thank you for the good read Jeet.
Hi Jeet! I love that you’ve combined these two stories into one of friendship. It’s nice to see the animals team up against the humans and outsmart us for once. It made me sad when the elephant died in the Jataka story, but I enjoyed his kindness. You’ve captured that here as well. It would have also been interesting to see the roles reversed on the elephant story where a human makes a sacrifice for the lives of animals. Very nice job though!

I like how you incorporate detail and context to your story. You did a great job creating an image. This is always nice as the reader. Keep up the great work.
