Reading Notes: The Lion in Bad Company

The story of a lion and wolf.  When you have a bad friend than that will put you in trouble?

The lion who suddenly came in front of wolf and wolf said “Oh great lion.”  The lion got over excited that some wolf calls him great but he did not consider what his father told.  His father told him to stay away from wolf and do not bring him to his den.  He did exact opposite to what his father told him and he thought that this wolf is different but in reality the wolf was no different from other wolf.  The lion brings him to his den but the father of lion confronts the him and said you should not keep the wolf in our den.  The lion thought he knew better than his father and let the wolf stayed in his den.

The wolf wanted to eat horse meat and he made lion to go on hunt ponies of horses.  He told where they were and what they were doing there but the lion did not even think why he knew so much.  So they both went to go hunting and lion bring pony with him after killing them and the wolf was happy but not the father of lion.  The lion’s father confronts him again and said he should not go kill ponies of horses because they belong to King and the lion who eat ponies do not live long.  He did not listen to his father again and keep killing ponies and the King who was trying to save his ponies tried all of the method and nothing work.  Than one day he hires archer to kill lion who kill his ponies.  The lion and wolf came to get pony but wolf didn’t jump the wall but lion did and he kill pony and archery shot him with arrow.  After that the wolf ran away and lion died.  That’s what he got for not listening to his father.

Reading Notes: The Cunning Wolf

The reading notes on cunning wolf. Who want to save his fellow animals?

The who is on the holiday should understand that you cannot just kill any animal for eating food.  They got food but not enough that it would last them till night and all of the food was done.  Everyone should have voted to go to nearby store and bring food instead of going on hunting and killing animals.  It would be much better if you get food from the store.  Instead of that they think that it would be better to hunt them and eat the fresh meat.

I don’t know what that man was thinking but he was clearly think wrong about the animal that they will quickly fall into his trap.  He thought that animal will come never him if he acts like he is dead so that animal can eat his meat.  Maybe he thought that animals are not as intelligent as humans are and it will be easier to hunt them by playing dead.  There are some animals who grew up in the environment where they constantly have to use their brain to survive.  And I think that the wolf was one of them who can use his brain and put himself in danger so his fellow animals can survive and they get the idea of what happen when you carelessly approach someone.

The wolf tries to move the club of the guy who trying to play dead and he got caught.  After that they found that the human is not dead but he was looking for fresh meat and everyone ran away.  After that he could not find any animals and he came back to his friends.  He said “I tried to find fresh meat by playing dead but the cunning wolf played trick on me and I could not get fresh meat.”  The wolf was not cunning but intelligent.

Reading Notes Part A Mahabharata

Pandu was noble, all he wants to do is fulfill what his Kuru elders wanted and make his kingdom look much better. He himself wished that Kingdom of Hastinapur should be able to rule over other kingdoms to maintain peace.  Hastinapur was losing grip over other kingdom made him go ask his elder Bhisma for help and permission to attack other kingdom otherwise they would attack us.  Bhisma gave his consent and told him to and let them know the power of Hastinapur.  Pandu won one kingdom after another in war and nobody was able to defeat his army.  After he was done attacking he went back to Hastinapur and everyone celebrated for his return.

Pandu was considered as a person who would not disappoint his elders and he will do anything to maintain dignity of his family.  He would not do something that will make his elder lose face in front of other kingdoms and his peoples.  Pandu had two wives name Kunti and Madri.  They both will follow their husband where ever he goes because that is the duty of wives.  They both will fulfill any wishes that Pandu ask of them but they can also say no to them if they want.  Behaving like a good nature and fulfilling wife can be like having noble person beside you every day.

After getting curse from Kindama a human who can transform as a deer.  Pandu was unable to have any children and he was getting impatient that what will happen to his clan and that he won’t be able to face his elder.  Pandu is a noble who never back down from his duty but this time it was different.  He went to Kunti and ask her a favor to have a child through another man beside and she was a virtue wife who never do something like that.  Kunti say I was given a mantra “boon” which let me have children from any god and that way they were able to have three sons from Kunti and two sons from Madri.  After that Pandu was really happy and they started living in Himalayas.
