Reading Notes: Babbitt's Two Turtle

This story about two turtle is amazing and interesting.  As one turtle use his brain wisely to survive and another turtle use his brain in a different way.

The part that really grab my attention was in this story of The Turtle and The King was that the turtle changed my view of thinking that anybody can outsmart the King or his people.  They didn't think once that they got turtle from water and he/she can easily survive in the water or any kind of water.  Turtle was innocent but it was his bad luck and he had really good thinking skills which persuade king think the way he wants.  I don't think turtle was a trickster but really intelligent and he knew how to survive even outside the water.  The start was good but not as good as I think, as more parts about story opens up it became interesting.  The ending part of the story was really good where the turtle got to live and I really like the story where ending is really good.

The Turtle and The Geese stories was interesting, even though the turtle just could not stop talking.  I didn't expect the turtle to be dead and this is the type of stories I hate most like why someone has to die at the end of the story.  The turtle character was talkative that is why he talked so much and the geese want him to stop talking.  Talking was the greatest weakness of the turtle which led him to his death and geese could have think of better way of taking him to their house than caring him through stick.  I like the story where there are two animals who can become friends otherwise this type of story always have benefit on one side of story.  If I think about it the story might had different conclusion if the turtle had reach the geese house.  They may have eaten the turtle or they might have done something different and this story would have been entirely different.  I didn't like the ending because the turtle died but it was interesting.
